Dear Students,

Greetings!

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year to create worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. To commemorate this occasion, School of Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Studies, IGNOU is organizing a National level Competition on the theme ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’ with a thrust on the “Mission LiFE. i.e., Lifestyle for Environment”

 

i)                    Essay Competition

ii)                  Poster Making Competition

iii)                Slogan writing Competition

The celebration of this day aims to share ideas, knowledge and experiences which will encourage all for the transition from a throwaway culture to a Circular Economy and beat plastic pollution.  The importance of LiFE (Lifestyles for Environment) Principles need to be highlighted, as behaviour changes to encourage use of sustainable alternatives to single use plastics, prevention of littering etc:

 

Theme 1) Essay Competition –Plastic Waste Management for Circular Economy

2) Poster Making Competition- Plastic Waste pollution and Management

3) Slogan writing Competition- Solutions to Plastic Pollution

Last date for submission: 30th May, 2023, 5.00 PM

 

Instructions

1.      One entry per student

2.      The entries should be original

3.      Hard copy of the entries may be submitted through post or by hand at SOITS, Block 15, Ground Floor, IGNOU, New Delhi – 110068. 

4.      Participants must write their name, Programme name, enrolment Number etc.

Participants for Essay/ Slogan: Currently enrolled learners of IGNOU/ IGNOU employees

Participants for Poster: Currently enrolled learners of IGNOU, IGNOU employees and Children of IGNOU Employees (Name, address and contact numbers of the employee/student/children should be written on the back side of the poster.
